Corn Leafhopper was confirmed in Kansas today in Rice County. Our statewide rapid response network will continue to monitor for corn leafhopper which can carry corn stunt disease.
What you need to know:
•A crop consultant found corn leafhopper in Rice County (7-3-2026) and tested negative for Corn Stunt Spiroplasma
•This is the first positive leafhopper sample from 2026
•Not all leafhoppers are corn leafhoppers
•Corn leafhoppers can carry corn stunt disease
