Come with us as we visit Natchitoches, Louisiana! 🌸😍

It really is a beautiful little town with lots of charm. We just made one big mistake…we went on a Sunday morning hoping to grab brunch. 😅 Most restaurants and several shops were closed.

The highlight of our visit was ☕ Story Brew Coffee Café. The coffee was delicious, the staff was incredibly friendly, and it was the perfect way to start the day. We also enjoyed browsing the local art gallery and made a quick stop at the famous Steel Magnolias house for a photo. 📸

There’s also a paddle boat that cruises along the river, but it wasn’t running during our visit.

💡 Our tip: Definitely visit Natchitoches—but plan your trip for a day other than Sunday morning if you want to experience everything the town has to offer!

We finally checked out the Bingo NOLA Motorsports Park and went in with hopes of an open bar, and some tasty snacks!

Well…it wasn’t quite what we expected. 😄

The menu was popcorn 🍿, hot dogs 🌭, pizza 🍕, and chips, and the bar included beer, wine, and seltzers. Since I had skipped lunch hoping for some fun snack foods, that part was a little disappointing.

The biggest surprise? There wasn’t actually a drag show—it was bingo hosted by some hilarious drag queens calling the numbers. So my stack of $1 bills made the trip home with me! 💵😂

Did we win? Nope.
Did we laugh? Absolutely!

If you’re expecting a full drag performance, just know it’s more about the bingo than the show. We still had a fun time , but we definitely went in expecting a little more excitement.

⚓️ Sail 250 + a day in New Orleans = a perfect adventure!

We spent the day exploring the French Quarter, checking out the amazing ships, and spotting some of the 3,000 sailors visiting the city. After all that walking, we headed to Landry’s Seafood for dinner.

The sirloin was cooked perfectly, the grilled chicken with mushrooms was tender and flavorful, the onion straws were delicious, and the frozen strawberry margarita hit the spot after a hot day in NOLA. 🍓🍹

One tip: don’t be in a hurry—the food takes a little while to come out. But overall, we enjoyed every bite… except for the cold mashed potatoes. 😂

Lakefront mornings + good food = the perfect combo 🥂

We stopped by for breakfast and it did NOT disappoint.

✨ Perfect egg whites
✨ Blueberry & banana pancakes 🤤

Grab breakfast, then take a stroll to the lakefront — perfect morning 💛
