Te’a Kitchen Update ❤️🦀

I wanted to keep you all updated because so many of you have been asking when Te’a Kitchen will be back. I officially have my first commercial kitchen tour scheduled for Sunday! 🙌🏾

This is a huge step toward legally reopening Te’a Kitchen while I continue working toward my food truck dream. I’m taking the time to make sure I find the right kitchen so I can bring you all the same seafood boils you know and love.

Thank you all for the encouragement, shares, and feedback. Seeing how many of you said you’d still preorder and make the drive honestly means more than you know ❤️

Te’a Kitchen Family ❤️

As many of you know my dream has always been to own a seafood food truck and I want you to know that dream hasn’t changed. A lot of people don’t realize that getting a food truck is a much bigger investment than it may seem. It takes time and I don’t want to put Te’a Kitchen on hold while I work toward that goal.

Right now I’m exploring licensed commercial kitchens so I can legally reopen Te’a Kitchen while continuing to save for my food truck. I truly believe this could be the next step in getting back to doing what I love. Depending on the kitchen I partner with, scheduled preorder pickups may temporarily be in Kenosha or Oak Creek.

So I wanted to ask you all: If pickup ended up being in Kenosha or Oak Creek for a while would you still preorder and make the drive? Be honest I genuinely want your feedback as I figure out the best way to move forward.

Every order, every share, and every person who supports Te’a Kitchen brings me one step closer to that food truck. Thank you all for sticking with me through this journey 🫶🏾🦀

I know I’ve been quiet since my last post… it was a very emotional day for me 💔 After putting in so much to prepare for that weekend, I ended up taking a loss on product I won’t be able to use so I just needed a moment to process everything.

I do want to update everyone though the situation has been resolved and I’m not being evicted. I’ve stopped operating from my apartment and I’m now working on getting everything set up the right way. I’m already over halfway to my goal of transitioning into a food truck setup. It’s a big step so it will take some time but I’m working toward it every day.

Thank you for all the love, support, and understanding y’all showed me, it truly means more than you know ❤️ This isn’t goodbye forever, just goodbye for now. Te’a Kitchen will be back.

I’m just gonna be real with y’all because y’all like family to me 💔

I received a notice from my landlord and I do have to stop cooking out of my apartment immediately. I knew I needed to be in a commercial kitchen and should’ve made that move sooner but I kept going because of the love and support y’all show me. Right now I’m actively working on getting into a commercial kitchen or getting my food truck so I can come back the right way.

This isn’t the end of Te’a Kitchen at all… just a pause.

I appreciate every single one of y’all for real. I’ll keep you updated every step of the way ❤️

Due to a recall on the brand of crab I currently use, I will NOT be opening today.

Your safety always comes first over anything so I’m taking the time to find a safe alternative before I serve anything. I’m currently out looking for a different brand now so I can hopefully still open the rest of the week 🤞🏾

I’ll keep y’all updated as soon as I secure a new supply.
