Our Head chore person, sheep shearer and hard worker went on a new big adventure last Friday. Ty's new home is SDSU in Brookings Sd to study Ag Science and take a shearing class this fall. He will be home for Christmas break if you are interested and need some sheep sheared in central Iowa.

The Governors Charity Steer Show was first initiated by former Governor Terry Branstad in 1983. Since then, over 50,000 families have utilized the services of the Ronald McDonald Houses of Iowa. RMH Programs are a home away from home that provide comfort, support and resources to families who travel far from home for the medical care their child needs.

Iowa Cattlemen have been paying it forward to help those outside the cattle community for nearly 40 years!

Well I didn't think Touchdown Acres would ever shear our own ewes. I was wrong, Ty has done a great job learning with Dale Ubban how to shear to make some extra money for college. We are very proud of him for learning a new skill. He is going to a shearing school this fall, if you need small flocks sheared he can help you out.
