After much consideration and a few tast testing, we've sadly decided not to open the blueberry picking this year. The late frost at the end of March wiped out about 85% of our crop (took out all the peaches 😢). We thought we might be okay to open for a super short season, but then we forgot the birds like to eat too and the dear and the rabbits. During normal years, we easily accommodate these creatures and have plenty extra, but not this year. For the few berries that did survive, the flavor seems off with them.
So sadly, we won't be open this year. But hopefully, with a few frost protection ideas, we can prevent this from happening next year. To all our blueberry pickers, we thank you and hope to see you next year!

In the meantime, please support Blueberry Hill in Sanford, NC, and / or Carter Blueberry Farm in Fayetteville! Support your local farmers! Thanks, y'all!

Because of the very high chance of rain and potential thunderstorms, we've decided to cancel the yard sale tomorrow! Be on the lookout for a new date in the fall!

Store will be open from 10-3pm tomorrow. Come grab some Pet Milk, cheese, eggs and meat!

Gail decided she wanted to see how the goats get milked. After witnessing what she deems as "favoritism " (because the goats get inside treatment) she has decided she wants that too. I told her she wouldn't fit in the door because of her size. I probably shouldn't have said that but sometimes the truth isn't nice. 🤣
All is well now. Gail is currently out in the pasture with her friends (Georgia and Gwen) enjoying some grass under a shady tree and has completely forgotten the situation.

BTW! We now have A2A2 Raw Jersey Milk sold for PET Consumption ONLY! Come grab a gallon or TWO! Store is open til 5pm today!

We have clean untreated pine shavings available. These are great for bedding. Can be purchased by tractor bucket load (.75 yard) or trailer load. We can deliver for a fee. Message the page for prices and questions.
