Just a quick heads up on some route day changes! Next Monday Sept 7th we will be CLOSED for the Labor Day holiday! Please watch the schedule or check with your driver to see when we will be running your route if you normally would see one of our trucks on that day!

Buffalo Center - will be Thursday Sept 3rd
Waseca, Janesville, New Richland - Friday Sept 4th
Mabel, Canton - Friday Sept 4th

Quick heads up!

If you are on one of Tami’s routes for this week (Aug 25-27th), we apologize but we will not be servicing those routes this week. If you place a preorder we will be sure to get your orders to you before the weekend however!

Tami has taken a different job, so we will be making some slight adjustments to some routes so be sure to watch your email/facebook for when we will be in your area next!

We want to wish Tami the best in her new adventure!

Gosh Summer just FLEW by this year it seems! We are on the last 2 weeks of summer for our kids, but we know many local school districts have started already or will be this week. Wishing every one a wonderful 2026-2027 School Year!

The Iowa State Fair is wrapping up today (Aug 23rd) and the Great Minnesota Get Together starts on Thursday! "Stick" foods are always on the top of the list for many when they go to fairs! Easy to eat and your able to kind of keep your hands clean while still wandering around to see all the exhibits! I like to keep it simple and just enjoy a Corn dog, but I know many people like to try the wild and unique foods!

Another reminder that we have added a couple of new Skewers to our line up and they are DELICIOUS! Garlic & Herb Pork Skewers, Waygu with Gorgonzola & Wrapped in Bacon have both been added! Plus the Bacon Wrapped Pork Skewers are back in stock! Oh and dont forget about the Shrimp Skewers and all the popsicle options for Stick Foods!

An afternoon at home means I have some time to render some fat down into tallow!

We have started using this when we do any deep frying and we noticed a difference immediately!

It’s super easy to render beef fat down into tallow!

Using my roaster (I can do 6 2.5 lb packages at once). Put the beef fat in on low (200-225 degrees). Stir occasionally. When everything is melted you can start scooping off the melted tallow. I strain through a cheesecloth and put into quart sized containers. Once they have solidified, I then freeze. They will last a long time in the freezer!

It takes a couple hours, but it’s easy and pretty hard to mess up (just don’t boil the tallow!)

We may have picked up a few cases of ice cream today from Stensland Family Farms! (Not pictured are the cases of JUMBO caramel rolls (homemade sauce!!) and gallon pails of ice cream already in the truck!!

Konner was a super help loading! Amazing what this kid can lift! (Now to get him to understand it’s easier to unload the pallet starting from the top 🤣)

Minnesota schools and child care providers can now apply for AGRI Farm to Kids Programs, which reimburse eligible purchases of food grown or raised in Minnesota. With $1.47 million available, that means more Minnesota food on kids’ plates and more opportunities for local farmers!

Hey all!

Soo apparently vacation brain is a real thing 🤣🤣

I oops’d on my schedule for today (Wed Aug 5th) in the email so wanted to update quick here!

Tom will be covering Titonka/Lakota/Leydard tomorrow Thursday Aug 6th instead of today like normal. He is coming that route with Buffalo Center & Thompson so his times may differ a little from normal.

Still plenty of time to put preorders in for both route days!
