This past weekend was the first time in a LONG time that we have had all 4 trucks “home” at once!

It’s crazy to think back to where we started, where we are now and what we picture the future to look like!

Wishing everyone a very happy and blessed Mother’s Day! Nothing exciting for me/us today…..just working and plenty of time spent on the road. But we did have supper Saturday night with Brandon’s parents, his sister and our nephew & niece.

This afternoon while doing chores Mr Goette Farms noticed this 2nd calf cow starting to calve. We try to not interfere with the cows when they are calving but keep a close eye on them to be able provide help if needed in a timely manner.

After about 1.5 hrs she hasn’t made much progress and from what I could see, the feet were plenty big! So I made the call, and we walked her up got her into the calving pen to be able to provide some much needed assistance!

The first thing I noticed when I reached in to check out the situation, was the fact that I couldn’t put my hand around the calf’s leg! 😳

With some tension and a little help shifting legs and the head into the “Superman” position, we soon had the head out and let momma do the rest!

We don’t have a scale, but this is the biggest calf we have ever had here!

Now to see if this big boy is gonna be smart enough to figure out how to nurse or if we will have to provide him some more help! Sometimes super big calves, especially bull calves, are a little on the slower and dumber side to get started.

I know momma was super appreciative of the assist from us!

Don’t forget about mom this weekend! Mother’s Day is on Sunday and what would be better than some Golden King Crab Legs 🦀

We have limited availability in the warehouse! 4 legs are approximately 2.25-2.5 pounds.

Storms always amaze me! The wind just slid our playset over but the swings never moved….

We had a little bit of small hail here, but nothing too crazy!

Today (Sunday April 12th) Brandon and I ventured over to LaCrosse to check out a Food Show hosted by one of our vendors! We sampled WAY too many different things and came home with a ton of ideas of various products that we may be adding to our trucks!

Mother Nature has us on a bit of a roller coaster ride it looks like this week! Monday for our area we have some potential for severe weather (including possible tornados)...we are hoping it doesn't get too western for us or anyone else for that matter! Stay safe and watch the skies!
