🙏 Calling on my Chef & Catering Network

A dear friend of mine unfortunately lost his father and is looking for last-minute funeral catering tomorrow in Winston-Salem for approximately 50 people, starting around 3:00 PM.

If I have any fellow chefs, caterers, or former students who are now in the culinary business and may be able to step in and help, please DM me ASAP and I’ll put you directly in contact with him.

Unfortunately, Meez is completely swamped this week and working out of town, so I won’t be able to assist personally—but I’d love to help connect him with someone I know and trust.

Sometimes our industry is about more than food—it’s about showing up for people when they need us most. ❤️

Here’s an im-pork-ant announcement. Neese’s is back. 🐽

The new owner of Neese’s says Regular Country Sausage, Hot Country Sausage and Extra Sage Country Sausage will be available in more than 500 Food Lion locations across North Carolina and Virginia later this month

Other products will roll out in the fall.

New owner, Jesse Jones Brand in Raleigh, says the recipes won’t be changed but the meat products will be in “packaging designed to modernize the brand's retail presence while preserving its heritage.”

Nine years ago Meez Market and Catering was just an idea fueled by hard work while I was juggling what felt like three jobs. Today, I still work hard—but now it’s for the company I built.

I’m beyond grateful to everyone who believed in me, supported me, and pushed me to be better. Thank you to Katie Hoskins Santos my lovely wife. Brian Singleton, my family, friends, customers, clients, former students, and everyone who’s been part of this journey. You know who you are.
