Vineyard Grant James

Vineyard Grant James One of Ramona's premier boutique wineries serving delicious handcrafted wine. Breathtaking views abound as you drive through the Ramona Wine Country.

The sun shines almost every day and the weather is ideal for wine tasting all year around. There are many boutique wineries in Ramona and all of them have a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere where the person behind the bar is usually the winemaker, vineyard owner or a family member who is knowledgeable about the wine and the winemaking process. You are encouraged to bring a picnic and enjoy a meal amidst the vines or on the patio overlooking the vineyard.

After many beautiful years in the hills of Ramona, the time has come for us to say goodbye. 🍷🌿

Vineyard Grant James is officially closing, and Jacques and I are stepping into a well-deserved retirement. What a ride it has been.

From our very first harvest in 2009 to every glass poured on the veranda, every wine club shipment, every event under the California sky — it has been the honor of our lives to share this place and these wines with you. You made it all worthwhile. 💕

One last thing before we go — our remaining 2024 barrels are being bottled and will be available for purchase at two wonderful Ramona Valley locations. If you want one final taste of Vineyard Grant James wine, here’s where to find us:
📍 Ramona Ranch
23578 CA-78, Ramona, CA 92065
📍 Creek Hollow Winery
25104 Creek Hollow Rd, Ramona, CA

Whether you’re adding to your cellar, opening a bottle to toast a memory, or simply wanting one last taste of something we made together — we hope these final bottles find their way to people who love them as much as we do.

To every customer, wine club member, and friend who walked through our gates — thank you. From the bottom of our hearts.
With love and gratitude,
Susanne & Jacques 🥂

Did you know? 🍇

Vineyard Grant James sits at an elevation between 2,100 and 2,200 feet in the hills of Ramona, CA — and that altitude makes all the difference. Our north-facing slopes and decomposed granite soil create the ideal conditions for growing bold, complex varietals like Syrah, Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, and more. The Ramona Valley AVA is one of California's most unique wine regions, and every bottle we pour is a reflection of this beautiful land. 🌄

Come taste the difference that elevation makes. Open Saturday–Sunday, Noon–5pm. No reservations needed. 🍷
