At HAPPY HEN'S we produce PASTURE-RAISED organic eggs. Our girls are free to roam in hillsides, fields and pastures. They enjoy sunbathing while relaxing in the great outdoors feasting on a buffet of bugs and lush green vegetation. Our goal is to provide these lovely ladies with an organic lifestyle that mimics that of their natural habitat while maintaining the sustainability of the environment.

In practice of this all the materials we use to house our happy girls are recycled and due to the excellent habitat provided, these girls produce the healthiest, tastiest, and highest quality eggs so we can provided you and your families with the best fuel for your bodies. You can come straight to our ranch in Ramona to pick them up and if you call in advance you can even tour the place. FDA TESTING RESULTS ARE IN 🥚

At Happy Hens, our focus has always been bigger than simply producing eggs. Every part of what we do is centered around creating an environment where our hens are healthy, happy, and able to thrive—while caring for the land and producing food intended to truly nourish the families who eat it.

Before anything was publicly known about this SE outbreak, we pulled our own samples. Those results were NEGATIVE.

Since then, the FDA has conducted additional testing, and 2 samples tested positive for SE. As a result, all product from the affected sites will be held from sale while we move through additional testing.

Over the next 2 weeks, we will test a total of 4,000 eggs. If additional positive results are confirmed, approximately 10,000 hens may need to be depopulated.

Here are the facts:
🥚 No recall has been issued.
🥚 Our testing conducted before public knowledge of the outbreak was negative.
🥚 We are not aware of other SE reports linked to our eggs outside San Diego County.
🥚 18 of the 21 reported cases have been directly associated with a kitchen in Ramona.

And yes… our family has continued eating eggs from these specific “affected” barns, and we’re still here to tell the tale. 😉

We will continue to be transparent every step of the way. Integrity means showing up when things are hard, too. 🤍

Your siblings and your whole family absolutely adore you. You are spunky, independent, curious, and so incredibly intelligent. It has been one of our greatest joys to watch you grow this year and discover the little person God created you to be.
