Saturday was our 1st harvest day. We brought in 2 of our Syrah blocks and 2 of our Petite Sirah blocks.

All fruit was put through our crusher destemmer machine and then into our fermentation bins.

2026 Harvest started today at 3am!

Today we harvested 2 blocks of Syrah and our 2 blocks of Petite Sirah.

Thank you to everyone who came out to help bring this fruit from the vineyard to our cellar.

Gearing up for our first harvest this Saturday August 29th.

Before we can bring in our fruit, we have to do some clean up and prepare our equipment.

This involves cleaning and sanitizing all bins and crusher. We are one step closer to our 2026 vintage.

Checking the brix out in the vineyard this morning.

I pick random berries and squeeze the juice onto the refractometer. I then also taste the berries. I’m not just looking at how they test but also how they taste. How the acid feels in your mouth. I’m also looking at the seeds and checking if they are bright green or turning brown. A lot of different factors go into the decision of a harvest date. Stay tuned it’s getting closer.
