Its been a busy few weeks for us at Windy Hill Farms but bar far the best day was last Wednesday (4/15).

We made the trip to Wye Angus in Maryland with our Vytelle team to perform an O**m Pick-Up (OPU) right there on their farm. It’s not every day you get to be hands-on with a herd that’s had that kind of impact on the Angus breed.

Wye Angus goes back to the early 1900s and is known for its closed herd, strong maternal lines, and unmatched consistency over generations — cattle that have truly stood the test of time and influenced the breed in a big way.

Being able to take those proven genetics and pair them with today’s technology is what keeps things moving forward without losing what made them great in the first place.

We greatly appreciate the opportunity and trust Wye Angus put in us and our technology to help preserve the genetics that have taken so long to build.

Wyatt gave this experience a thumbs up and says it was the best trip ever.

Turned the girls out on some fresh grass this afternoon and they were pretty happy about it 🌱

A324 will be 14 this year and still looks as good as ever. She just keeps doing her job—brings in a calf on time, every time.

Hard to beat one like her.
