⭐️RJ⭐️ aka Regina Jr.
RJ is the youngest of the 2 Rhode Island Red hens. She's small but feisty and loves to be around people. She will peck your feet if you don't have treats. She lays brown eggs.

Honorable mention:
Brutus (the cat). He doesn't do anything but he wouldn't hush until he was picked up so here he is.

Lucy is a Lavender Orpington and lays light brown eggs. Lucy is also our LARGEST hen and it’s not all fluff. Lavender Orphingtons are considered “rare” but are not great layers.

February Employee of the Month
⭐️CIERRA
-This was entirely a popularity vote and not based on work ethic because this is the first egg she has laid in MONTHS.
-Cierra is a Cream Legbar and she lays small light/pale blue eggs. She is one of the smallest chickens and she likes to ride the golf cart with us because she gets extra treats.

We got 2 new layers this week and 2 new colors! They are tiny right now but should get up to the size of the green one soon!
We have a total of 4 different egg colors and should have more before long.

We have had a sad week with our birds…The other day we lost Crooked-Mouth, she was our Ameraucana with the scissor beak, (the one if you ever came to the house she was the one who would try and get in your vehicle 😂) despite all our best efforts of special feed, meal worms, even hand feeding her and everything else she just wasn’t able to eat/forage properly. She wasn’t able to gain any weight and she died. Truthfully she should have been culled when it became so prominent but that’s hard to do especially when she had the best little personality.
Then today when moving the quail cage to fresh ground 1 of the hens went the wrong way and got crushed under the cage.
And yes I know they are “just birds” but these birds are very well loved and it always sucks when things like this happen 😓
