Good morning friends of El Tesoro Vineyards and Winery. We received some very good news from the plant tissue analysis department at UC Davis. Instead of having Pierce Disease as originally thought, we have a sever potassium deficiency in our soil. The symptoms are almost identical but potassium deficiency can be remedied. This weekend we are putting together a fertilizer / micro - nutrient injection system. This means we should be back to full production in 2 to 3 years. Needless to say we are thrilled. I will keep you all posted on our progress. Happy Saturday Wine Lovers! !!!

Put up 45cs yesterday and did some racking and blending. A 100% estate French Oak Zinfandel ( Smooth as silk) and a Petite Syrah also with French Oak. Blended something I will Call Twelve Fourteen, A Cabernet Sauvignon blended with Ruby Red. Today cleaning barrels and organizing the Barrel Room. Have an awesome wine filled afternoon and please don't drink and drive. Cheers! !!!!!
