Soil Born flowers are here! This Saturday, shop for single variety bouquets at our farmstand including stock, snapdragons and more!

Save the date! Starting next Saturday, June 6, our Create Your Own Flower Bouquet station will return. Stop by the green Flower Power tent located in front of the Milly's Mercantile and produce stand cashier station. Create your own flower bouquet from a variety of bright blooms and lush greenery. Three sizes available. The flowers are organically grown at Soil Born Farms.

🌻Youth Education Fundraiser - Craft Sale🌻
Saturday, May 30th, 9am-12pm in front of the Youth Garden

🎲 This semester, our homeschool classes explored the history of games and play. Students learned and practiced games like Senet, Mancala, Chess, and Town Ball, while discovering the cultural and historical significance behind them.

✨ As a capstone project, students, parents, and homeschool staff worked together to create crafts and simple games to sell as a fundraiser.

Research shows school gardens improve fruit and vegetable consumption, boost science achievement, strengthen community connections, and support student mental health and wellbeing 🌱

🥬The garden at Oak Ridge Elementary is bountiful and overflowing with nutritious veggies!
🥦In an effort to clear out the garden for spring, “garden bucks” were distributed to each of our participating classrooms. Teachers selected 3 students from their class to come “shop” in the garden.
🥕Students harvested Kale, Cilantro, Cauliflower, and Green Onions. In addition to their freshly harvested produce, They also took home recipe cards which included nutritious facts about their veggies.
🌼Our goal for the Growing Together program is for students to share what they are learning, beyond the school garden, with their family and community.

Using nervines and adaptogens is a great way to find more calm, better resilience, and better well-being overall. This class will introduce a number of nervines and adaptogens and demystify the process of choosing the best one(s) for you. We will talk about each herb’s specific qualities, and how to combine and prepare them for the best effect. Participants will have a chance to sample several herbs and herbal products, and make some of their own to take home.
