What I Learned at the Bureau of Cannabis Control's Public Licensing Workshop in Riverside (10/13/17):
* An estimated 200 people were expected to attend the event; however, almost 1,000 arrived. The council had to hold three 30 minute sessions in order for everyone to hear the news. This shows how much support the cannabis industry is attracting!
* The council is currently going through public outreach. They're offering online surveys (via cannabis.CA.gov) to create regulations based on the will of the people.
* On January 1, 2018, California will make recreational cannabis legal; however, Riverside County will not.
* New regulations are coming and by mid-to-late November, they are expected to be finalized.
* Temporary licenses are available to those who wish to be registered as a cannabis business.
