Morning walks are back and today at Veteran’s Memorial (aka. KD Park), our next door neighbor, I had the most beautiful one.

There were plenty of “morning finds” along my walk (something I learned to do from my friend ). Finding simple beauty out in nature, or even in my home.

Here’s to you finding beauty and joy in the simple things (and sights) of life 😍. #

Enjoy, and have a great Labor Day weekend! ❤️

Part of our MISSION and VISION is not only to bring our customers healthy, nutritious meats raised in a sustainable, regenerative way, but to help other farmers adopt these and other sustainable practices at their farms, and this grant will help do just that.
THANK YOU to all that helped the Kenosha Regenerative Producers Group in this endeavor! www.kenoshaproducers.org

🚜 PROMOTING SUSTAINABLE FARMING: Congratulations to the Kenosha Regenerative Producers Group, which this week received a $26,000 state grant to support its farmer-led conservation work.

The group's mission is to improve profitable farming while protecting our local ecosystem, through practices such as rotational grazing and avoiding pesticide use and fertilization. You can learn more about the group and its efforts at https://www.kenoshaproducers.org.

It’s been so cold the past couple of weeks (and today is very windy), but the cows, and Cookie the donkey, are LOVING the current temps, especially with the sun out ☀️!

Lots of hay, always water available, minerals, fresh air, and sunshine makes for happy cows in the winter 💚

December Photo Dump.

It is no secret that my social media has waned over the last year or two. Mostly because the “reels”, videos, and current format lost me. Not a fan. I used to love the simplicity of pictures saying a thousand words, and then writing your words in the captions.

As I have pondered how to get back to it (or if we really needed to?) I decided to do it my way. If algorithms don’t like it, or I get less followers, so be it.

I hope you stick around for the simplicity.

So here is a photo dump of our December. Not even a great one as I was not in the “taking pictures mode” and more in the “just being mode”, but you get the gist of it.

Happy new year, by the way.
My commitment here for 2025 (and I say that loosely), is to show up on occasion to bring you pictures from the farm, updates, communicate sales and events, a recipe here or there, and of course… that daily morning tree pic 🌳.

Thanks for being here and for your support of our farm. 💚
