We should have eggs for sale again next week. The girls are laying well now but I want to make sure with the cooler weather next week that it wouldn't effect their laying.

Looks like the girls are feeling better (safer) and egg production has slowly been picking back up. We'll have eggs for sale this week again.

I'm sorry to say that unless the chickens have an egg explosion this weekend we will not have eggs to sell this week. A racoon (or a family of them) torn our wire apart in our coop this week, broke into the part with the chickens and killed several of our laying hens. The wire has been fixed but the hens have been too freaked out to even go into their coop at night, let alone lay eggs so we're very low on eggs this week.

They have calmed down in the past two days and started to lay again so we should have some next week. I'm sorry for anyone who was looking to get them this week.

I will be at the Old Farmville Antiques building, November 11th 8-4pm. The address is 27 Bayberry Lane, Farmville VA. I'll be bringing some of the handmade stuff I had on the table: scarfs, bags, jewelry, and other random craft items I've made over the past few years as well as a few copies of my books and other random items if anyone is interested in stopping by.

Decorations this year. Lights come on at dusk and stay on for 2 hours after dark.

We are a bit late but the Halloween decorations are going up today in case anyone wants to drive by while their up. Lights come on at dusk and stay on for about 4 hours. The best time to view them is just after sunset/dusk.
