Our Dairy Promotions team worked so hard proudly representing themselves, their families, and their communities this week at the fair!

Happy National Lazy Day!

Today’s the perfect excuse to slow down, kick back, and enjoy the little things… like a delicious scoop of ice cream, a cheesy snack, or a cold glass of New York milk!

Because sometimes the best plans are:
-Do less
-Eat cheese
-Have ice cream
-Support New York dairy farmers

Happy “Meet the Ambassador Monday” from the 2026 Cattaraugus County Fair!

Introducing Kaitlyn Bedient 🥛

Hi everyone!

My name is Kaitlyn Bedient, I am 16 years old, and I am the 2026-2027 Cattaraugus County, Dairy Ambassador. This year will be my 4th year being a part of the program. What being a Dairy Ambassador means to me is being a role model for those around me, but also being an educator and AGvocate for the dairy industry. It’s important for consumers to know where their goods come from, and how they get to their tables. Not only are the behind the scenes important, but also so are the products themselves. There are so many amazing things within dairy products that help your body. All this information is so important for consumers to know! Besides being in the Dairy Ambassador program, I also am a member of Cattaraugus County’s 4-H. In the program I participate in dairy judging, showmanship, and showing dairy cattle. Outside of the dairy industry I am a part of my schools Varsity Soccer and Track teams (where I’m always telling my teammates to drink chocolate milk), taking pictures, playing clarinet, or being involved with my church!

I can’t wait to see what this year has in store 🤍🥛

Meet the Ambassador Monday continues with Lily Hansen 🥛

Hi, I'm Lily Hansen and I'm 12 years old. I like being a dairy ambassador because I like to talk about the dairy cows and dairy products! I enjoy caring for my cows and producing dairy products to give to people. The hard work has taught me so many responsibilities.
When I’m not the barn I like to play soccer, hang out with my friends and help with the field work. I can't thank my parents enough for the great opportunities, and all the memories I will cherish for a life time.

“Meet the Ambassador Monday” with Juleah Telaak Britton 🥛

Hi my name is Juleah Telaak Britton and I'm 13 years old. I live in Lawtons, NY and I will be entering 9th grade in the fall. Being part of the Dairy Ambassador program means a lot to me. I enjoy raising animals and watching them grow. Showing and caring for animals has taught me a lot of responsibility and that hard work pays off. I also enjoy promoting dairy in my community. I especially enjoy working with children and helping them learn about agriculture. Whether I'm doing a presentation for children or scooping ice cream at the fair, I am having the best time!
Outside of the barn, I enjoy playing ice hockey. I also participate in several clubs at school. I appreciate my family for giving me all these opportunities. The skills and memories I have will last a lifetime.

Today we raise a glass of milk to the hardworking, strong, steadfast dairy cow! Not only does she nourish our families physically but the passion and purpose she provides nourish the heart of Cattaraugus County!

“Meet the Ambassador” Monday continues with Madelyn Foster 🥛

Madelyn Foster is a new Junior Dairy Ambassador. She is 11 years old and goes to Randolph Central School where she will be starting 6th grade in the fall. Along with her love for promoting the dairy industry Madelyn enjoys playing basketball and softball. She also loves being on stage performing with her dance studio and her school's drama clubs. Madelyn has enjoyed showing dairy cattle since she was the age of five. She loves to be around animals and caring for them. Madelyn has been fortunate to have been surrounded by many individuals who have a love and passion for the dairy community. This past spring she had the opportunity to promote dairy consumption by helping students at her school make butter. She is honored to be a part of the dairy industry and excited to be able to represent it in future events.
