Position: Sales Associate

Hours: 20-30 hours per week, flexible shifts (evenings, weekends, holidays)

Pay: $15.16/hour

Description: Powell Liquor Company, Rangely’s premier destination for quality spirits, wines, and beers, is seeking a part-time Sales Associate to join our welcoming team. We’re looking for a customer-focused individual to provide excellent service, assist with store operations, and contribute to our community-oriented atmosphere. If you’re reliable and eager to work in a dynamic retail environment, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
• Assist customers in choosing spirits, wines, and beers, providing recommendations for various preferences and occasions
• Process transactions accurately using POS system and verify IDs for age-restricted purchases
• Restock shelves, create attractive displays, and maintain a clean and organized store
• Assist with receiving and checking in inventory deliveries
• Ensure compliance with Colorado state liquor laws and regulations
• Support inventory counts and general store maintenance

Requirements:
• Must be 21+ years old (per Colorado liquor laws)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (cases of beverages)
• Reliable, punctual, and available for evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Basic math skills for handling cash and transactions
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail setting

Preferred (but not required):
• Knowledge of spirits, wines, or craft beers
• Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service
