Can y'all believe we are just three weeks away from our Summer Craft Fair! We will have over 75 artisans and crafters on-site, hands-on activities, live music, a petting zoo, and sheep shearing. Plus, Brooks BBQ will join us on Sunday, June 14.

Come enjoy a weekend of family fun at the Shaker Heritage Society on June 13, 10am - 4pm & June 14, 10am - 3pm. We will be here rain or shine! ☔☀️

We’re now in full honey bee season! New hives have been made, swarm traps are out, and the bees are busy collecting pollen and nectar. Soon enough we’ll have our first honey harvest of the year.

Fun fact, the buds of maple trees are some of the earliest food sources for bees - both honey bees and native species. That means as our maple season wraps up each year our bee season is already beginning.

Yup, that’s right, the little beekeepers will now be going on a quest to find these cucumber scented flowers! It’s neat to know these are the tallest native trees.
