Farmer Nathan is in the office this morning, and apparently walking, talking AND videoing all at the same time was a little too much before coffee. 😂

Glenn Beck put together a pretty detailed video explaining what’s happening with the U.S. beef supply, the cattle industry, and the concerns surrounding imported beef.

Every few months, another article comes along saying the way to save the planet is simple: eat less meat and raise fewer livestock.

Sounds good... until you spend a day on a farm.

The biggest thing these articles miss is that not all land can grow crops. Millions of acres are only good for grazing. Cattle turn grass that people can't eat into one of the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet.

They also don't tell you that cattle eat far more than grain. They consume grasses and byproducts from food production that would otherwise go to waste.

And cattle give us a whole lot more than steaks and hamburgers. Leather, soap, candles, medicines, collagen, pet food, fertilizer... the list goes on. Very little of the animal is wasted.

Can agriculture improve? Absolutely. Every farmer I know wants to leave the land healthier than they found it. We produce more food today with fewer resources than ever before, and we're still finding ways to do better.

Instead of pointing fingers at farmers, maybe we should focus on reducing food waste and supporting the people who grow our food.

Feeding the world isn't as simple as replacing cows with carrots.

It's going to take both crops and livestock working together—just like they've always done. 🌱🐄
