It's taken us awhile to post this as it is so disheartening when the weather seems to frequently not be in our favor.
We are so very sorry to report that we had a devastating storm on June 20th. It involved 70 mph wind and very heavy rain with hail.
We lost all of the cantaloupe and watermelon along with all of our vegetables. We had one small field of pumpkins that were farther East from our main field that survived. There are some squash and pumpkins that are showing signs of recovery but they still are questionable.
We did replant a small field of seeded watermelon three days after the storm in hopes that we may have some watermelon in time for Junk Jaunt.
We always look forward to having good produce for our customers and it is truly devastating when we aren't able to do so.
