So eggcited, got 8 mottled eggs in the last 2 days. Setting them tonight and every 5 days. I'll be keeping most of these first few hatched but then I'll have chick availability.

Hubby got my next mobile tractor framed out the other day, it just needs roof and wire, this one's for the bigger birds, slowly but surely getting everything set up for this spring.

With the new year coming I'm getting really excited for spring to get here!! The rainy weather just really makes it hard to work outside doing projects beyond chores. I'm hopeful that some of the things we tried last year can be even bigger and better✨️ I'm starting flower seeds this month for earlier blooms(spring is goal but summer rather then fall might be nice lol). We're also building more tractors and pens, and moving birds to repair old pens with a goal of having all my birds seperated and ready to go for season by Feb ish. Lots and lots of goals this year. Here hoping we can whip this farm into shape :)

Anyone still getting eggs? I'm looking to hatch some new layers for next season hoping to get a jump start now. Not looking for fancy, just good layers, mixes are fine, any egg color is fine, preferably high rate layers.

Well 81.1% later(73 of 90 lol) I'm going to be swimming in a wave of cuteness in a few days lol

When the preditors hit I was super lucky I'd put some extra boys not in the cockrel pen. My mc pen is very mc now but theyre safe, we've been hav8ng to move all the tractors about 2x a week but it's worth it.
