We rolled into Kearney, MO for the Jesse James BBQ Cookout. It’s our 2nd year at this contest and we are big fans; nice park, they added power this year, free ancillaries, and Kearney is a cool town.

We thought we had a strong cook and felt confident turning in and the judges did not agree with us. The only thing they liked was our tenderloin ancillary turn in which got us 8th place.

Congrats to our good friend Chase with on the RGC and Joe with on the GC. Also congrats to everyone else who heard their name get called!

It’ll be Brandon with no Robbie at Smoke on the Water in Topeka on October 9th & 10th! So go check on him if you’re there!

Set up yesterday and big meats are on this morning at the Jesse James BBQ Cookout in Kearney, MO! We are competing in the Red Top Farms ancillaries as well! Good luck to all smoking meat for judges whether in competition or in your own backyard!

Another Made for KC in the books, we put our best foot forward and ended up 33rd overall in a stacked field of some of the best cooks that Kansas City has to offer.

Big congrats to the Bum for his awesome RGC and Charles with on his GC! Charles, I told you Saturday morning that I thought you were going to win and I just like to point out I called it! Congrats and can’t wait to eat there the next time I fly!

Well we are off for a bit because school starts next week and it is a crazy time of year. Next time we touchdown will be in Kearney for the Jesse James BBQ Cookout!

Took the 45 minute drive to Cameron, MO this weekend for the 2026 Cameron Elks BBQ Cook Off! We felt confident in everything we turned in and it seems the judges were not a fan of 3 of the meats. They were fans of our chicken though!

We got in and will be competing for the airport contract in the Made for KC BBQ contest in Weston, MO on August 21st & 22nd! Our plan is just to rinse and repeat after Cameron and get after it again!

Happy Father’s Day to all the BBQ and non-BBQ dads out there! We are lucky to get to celebrate Brandon and Robbie on Father’s Day! They also got to celebrate it yesterday when they got after it at the Knights of Columbus Smoke Off 4 Life in KCK! It felt great to fire up the drums after our 2 month hiatus! Love coming here and Josh puts on a great event!

We had our statistically best cook yet, breaking a team record with our highest total points ever at 690.7656! 📈

Massive shoutout and thanks to Chase with for being a great friend and letting us learn from him and it definitely paid off!

Our newest Tornado BBQ team member has arrived! Robbie & Kimberly welcomed Lottie Jean to the world on May 9th. She weighed a little bit more than a pork collar! Luckily she was born at the hospital Brandon works at so he got to come meat her!
