Meet the flock. We got a small flock of Katadhin sheep last fall and went through our first lambing season this spring. We ended up with 7 lambs out of 4 ewes. Here are some older photos from when they were in the dry lot and lambing area. They are out in the fields chowing down on fresh greens now.

First up we have Nacho with her lambs Skully and Flash. She's been an amazing mom. Redman was our ram for this batch of lambs but he has moved on to another farm. Next we have Milkshake with her lambs Coconut Cream and Lil' Dip. Milkshake is our loudest sheep and also the friendliest. Then we have Apple with her single lamb Cider. She was a first time Mama and is doing great. Next we have our one bottle lamb LB / Cornstarch. He was rejected by mama Cosmo so we bottle fed him. One morning during chores he got to ride in Hannah's overalls. Lastly we have Cosmo and her lamb Oreo. Cosmo is the leader of the flock, her daughter Oreo has eldest daughter energy, loves to stand on her hind legs, and on Mom and Dad.

Summer garden is coming along, got quite a few different kinds of tomatoes and peppers going in the ground this week that we started from seed months ago. Planted quite a few rows about 2 weeks ago, need to get hoses ran and hay/straw mulch put down still.

4 rows of carrots
3 rows of beets - cylindra, golden flame badger, and the giant mangel
2 rows of radishes
1 row of turnips
2 long rows of bloody butcher corn
3 rows of giant sunflowers (seeds from a 15 ft tall one I grew several years ago)
1 row of Amaranth
2 row of Zucchini - Grey and black beauty
1 row of Soybeans edamame
1 row of Green beans (blue lake bush)
1 row of Arugula
4 rows of Potatoes
4 rows of Onions and Shallots

Most of this will end up going to our booth at the Excelsior Springs Farmer's Market and everything else will get preserved.

We got turkeys for the first time this spring. These 4 have been really fun to watch grow up. They are 2 months old now and very curious. They always come check me out when I tuck them in the coop for the night. I believe all 4 are females. They are all heritage breed turkeys, we have 2 Narragansett, 1 standard bronze, and 1 Spanish black.
