The farther the arrow is pulled back in the bow, the farther it flies…

When our flock of 300 hens went from laying an egg a day each to laying 6 eggs a day between the whole flock you could say we were shaking in our boots a little bit😅

When we were stretched to our thinnest, God did something amazing!

Forest raised? Rotational grazed? Non-gmo? Heritage breed? WTF does that mean?

Well, we know it’s a mouthful but the way we steward our animals makes all the difference for the healing of the land and the nourishment of your family. Enjoy!

What we mean by forest-raised, rotationally-grazed pigs!

Pork bought in the store is raised in big, hot barns that have slatted floors so pig’s manure can fall through. Ever heard of the expression “don’t sh*t where you eat”. Yeah, enough said…

That’s why our pigs are constantly being rotated around to fresh forest!

Our forest-raised, rotationally-grazed, non-GMO, heritage breed pork will be available for the first time here in the next couple weeks!

More information can be found on our free newsletter, which has a link in our bio.

*slightly overly-dramatic Pro-backyard-chicken propaganda comin at ya😉*

For tens of thousands of years common people have been largely responsible for raising their own food up until the early 20th century.

If our founding fathers heard that we ARE being restricted from raising our own food on property that we OWN they would be rolling in their graves...

This is no longer tin-foil-hat-talk. This is right here, in our town, right now.

I don't mean to get too conspiratorial. But, what
type of world are we leaving to our kids? To our grandkids? Are they really better off than we are?

It's time we stop kicking the can down the road and do something about this before it gets worse...

How? Call, text, email, DM, send a letter to your city council. Come to the city council meetings! Make your voice heard!

Our first farm tour was a blast! We got to take a hay wagon ride all over the farm, meet the pigs and chickens, and have away fun door prizes. We had folks come from as close as 2 houses down the road and as far as Omaha, Nebraska.

Next farm tour is Saturday, September 28th @ 11am, save the date!

More details can be found by subscribing to our free newsletter in our bio.

As of now the city's new ordinance to allow
"backyard chickens in certain situations" will not allow any chickens on lots under .2 acres...

On lots bigger than .2 acres, if you've got a neighbor within 150 feet of where you're planning on putting your coop, you will not be allowed any chickens.

If you can pass this criteria and have a lot between .2 and .5 acres you'll only be allowed 3 chickens. Half an acre to 1 acre 6 chickens. On an acre and above 12 chickens, but no more than that. Even if your residentially zoned lot is bigger...

Having 3 or even 6 hens will not yield enough eggs
DURING PEAK PRODUCTION MONTHS to support a couple, much more so A FAMILY, and much more so during winter months...

Stay tuned until next week when we'll share with you what YOU can do about this.

Fellow residents of Excelsior Springs, Missouri... Since we moved here my wife Vivian and I have been fighting for food freedom. It's been a long, drawn out, complicated, and frustrating process to say the least...

BUT, just last night city council voted to pass an ordinance which allows "backyard chickens in certain situations". Which sounds like a huge win, right?!

Stay tuned in the following 2 weeks to see why most of us will still not be able to keep backyard chickens.

Also, we'll show you how this new policy will limit the number of hens you'll be able to keep to a laughable amount, that is IF your property is even big enough...

Then, we'll tell you what YOU can do about it.

Stay tuned...
