This bourbon has developed a nice deep color with a distinct reddish hue. No need to worry about a neck pour as this one's aromatics pops almost right away delivering bold aromas of fresh cream, white flowers and honeycomb. Initially there is a little bump of heat to let you know this is cask strength but quickly mellows out showing the beauty of this Wheater. The palate is powerful yet so soft and easy drinking. This silky texture carries right through the finish with just a touch of sweetness, oak and red apples. Don't let the easy-going personality fool you this bourbon has been resting for 10 years and now has a lot say.

the nose shows beautiful subtle notes of pumpkin spice, ground pepper and warm caramel. On the palate, plums, nectarines, and baking spices dance about. This is a bourbon drinkers rye, while the spicy rye notes are clear and present from nose to finish, they never become aggressive or overpowering. Somehow this whiskey manages to completely swallow up 120 proofs yet comes across light footed and delicate, perfect for deep contemplation or a easy drinking pours to share with fellow whiskey lovers
