As many of you know, our walnuts are hand-picked, and we are currently experiencing an extreme heat wave here in Northern California, with temperatures reaching 109°F (43°C). These conditions make harvesting much more difficult and require us to adjust our working schedule for safety. We kindly ask for your patience and understanding. Every customer has a different preference when it comes to the maturity of green walnuts, so please take a moment to carefully review the photos in our listing. If you have any questions or are looking for a specific stage of maturity, we’ll be happy to help you choose the walnuts that best suit your needs.
The fresh green walnut season runs from August through September, and the walnuts naturally change as they mature. In early August, they are at their youngest “milk stage,” with a firm green husk and a small, delicate kernel.
As the season progresses, the kernel naturally grows larger and firmer while the walnut continues to mature. Many of our customers actually prefer these very young walnuts because of their incredibly rich, creamy, milk-like flavor and exceptionally tender texture.

Brody 💚 Our Green Boy Born on December 31, 2024. Litter: Sunny Smile Lumi × Sun Dance Archibald (Archie) Sometimes the most meaningful updates come with just a few photos and a few heartfelt words. Recently, we received a message from Jane, Brody’s mom. “I love him so, so much. He is my best friend. After my husband passed away last June, Brody became my greatest source of comfort. He helps me on the ranch with my cows and keeps the coyotes and wolves away.” This is exactly what we dream of. A tiny fluffy puppy grows into a loyal, dependable companion. Not just a beautiful dog, but a true member of the family. The one who is always there. The one who quietly brings comfort. The one who protects not only the home, but also the heart of the person who loves him. Just look at what an incredible young gentleman Brody has become! ❤️ Strong, confident, noble, yet still carrying that soft, gentle Great Pyrenees expression that is impossible not to fall in love with. It brings us so much happiness to know that our puppies grow up in families where they are loved this deeply. That is where they become more than dogs—they become true best friends. 🥰

The Call of Nature…🤦‍♀️😂 Sometimes Mother Nature reminds us who’s really in charge. 😅 When a girl is in season, there are simply no fences, gates, or barricades that can stop a determined Great Pyrenees. 🙈 With the heat we’re having, all of our dogs are staying inside the house under the air conditioning, which makes keeping everyone separated quite the challenge. On the first photo is our Buddy. Remember him? 🥹 The boy who came back to us terribly underweight, sick, and in heartbreaking condition. Just look at him now! ❤️ He’s healthy, strong, happy… and apparently a genius. 😂 Gates, fences, and even barricades made from chairs don’t stand a chance. Buddy has figured out how to move them, find his way around them, and I’m pretty sure he’s learned how to climb walls too. 🤣 And the lovely young lady waiting behind the gate is our beautiful Cora. 💕 So if you ever think you’ve successfully separated two dogs in love… just know that Buddy has probably already come up with Plan B. 😂🙉❤️

Our Grey Boy is growing up! 🥰 He’s already 39 lbs… and he’s still growing! Looking at these photos, it’s hard to believe this is the same fluffy little puppy who used to run around our puppy yard. ❤️ One of my favorite things about Great Pyrenees is watching them grow up alongside children. There is something so natural about this friendship. A little boy grows taller every year… and right beside him grows his gentle giant. Today they run after butterflies together. Tomorrow they’ll explore the woods, build forts, and make memories that will stay with them forever. And one more thing about Gandalf… He is an incredibly gentle boy. That’s exactly who he’s been since he was a tiny puppy. Kind, calm, affectionate, and simply made to grow up alongside his little human. 🥹❤️ Looking at these photos, I can’t help but smile. This is exactly what Great Pyrenees were made for—to love their family, to watch over their little humans, and simply be there, every single day. Thank you, Brentney, for loving our boy so much and for letting us watch him grow. We are so proud of the beautiful boy he is becoming. ❤️😊

How Do You Measure Love? 🥰 Is it measured in the pounds a growing puppy gains? In muddy paws after another adventure? In the thousands of photos on your phone? Maybe those are simply reflections of something much greater. Love is measured by care. The kind of care that takes time, patience, strength, and a big heart. The kind of care that is a daily commitment, often unseen by anyone else. The kind of care that never gets tired. The kind of care that is always there. The kind that never counts the time, the effort, or the money because nothing matters more than seeing your puppy’s happy eyes. Looking at Otis, we see exactly that kind of love. ❤️ Our Green Boy is growing into an incredibly handsome young Pyr. 🥰 Every new photo speaks for itself. There is so much confidence, trust, peace, and happiness in his eyes. That is exactly what a truly loved dog looks like. There is no greater reward for us than watching our puppies become cherished members of their families. Thank you, Anne and your wonderful family, for your endless love, care, and devotion to Otis. When Your Big Brother Is a Cat. 😂🐈 This is Frey. ❤️ They grew up together, and five years later, she still lets her big brother “win” every boxing match. 😂🥊

Some meetings are truly special. ❤️ Today, after five years, we had the chance to see one of our puppies again. This is Frey. She was born with the very majestic name Princess Elizabeth 👑😊, and later her mom and dad gave her the beautiful name Frey. 🥰 We still remember her as a tiny white fluffball with a pink nose, and today we got to see a beautiful, confident Great Pyrenees. Five years have flown by in what feels like a moment. The greatest compliment any breeder can receive is seeing one of their puppies loved, happy, and living exactly the life they hoped for. Frey is clearly adored by her family, and that means everything to us. No ribbons or titles can compare to seeing one of our puppies loved five years later. Frey’s family was just passing through our area, but they still found the time to meet with us. Thank you so much for that! It truly meant a lot to us. ❤️

Ozzie Bear (White Boy) 🐻❤️Born on April 9, 2026, from Sunny Smile Lumi × Sun Dance Archibald (“Archie”). 💕One of the greatest joys of being a breeder is watching our puppies grow up surrounded by love. Ozzie Bear is clearly living his best life! He has a wonderful Pyrenees big sister, Sadie, kids to play with, a grandma who spoils him with fresh veggies and marrow bones, and endless adventures in the grass, sprinklers, and muddy garden trenches. Judging by the photos… bath time has become a regular family event! 😂 And can we just take a moment to appreciate this adorable stage? Our puppies always go through this phase where they stop looking like fluffy little polar bears and start turning into adorable lion cubs. 🦁 I absolutely love this stage! Those fluffy manes, oversized paws, and those serious little faces… They look like they’re making the most important decisions in the world, when the only thing they’re actually thinking about is where to find the next mud puddle. 😂 Ozzie is growing into such a handsome boy, and we couldn’t be happier to see him so loved and enjoying every day of his new life. Thank you so much, Kim, for sharing these wonderful updates and photos. Nothing makes us happier than seeing our babies thriving with their forever families. ❤️

This Is Love Forever 🥰 Winnie (Orange Girl)❤️Laura wrote: “They are best pals and partners in crime, lol.” 😁 And honestly, we couldn’t have described Winnie any better. From the day she was born, our Orange Girl had a joyful spirit and a heart full of adventure. She was one of those puppies who always found something interesting to do and somehow convinced everyone around her to join in. Curious, playful, quick on her paws, and always ready for fun—but at the same time incredibly affectionate and gentle with people. Seeing her curled up with her new best friend fills our hearts with happiness. This is exactly what we dream of for every puppy we raise—to find a family where they are not just a dog, but a best friend, a partner in crime, and a beloved member of the family.
