Some stories just make your heart completely full 🙏❤️This beautiful girl is Maci — the older sister of the puppies we have with us now. She is already 1.5 years old, and looking at these photos, it’s hard to believe how quickly time flies 🥹 Maci absolutely adores her mom and dad, and honestly… it shows in every single picture. The trust, the calmness, the love between them — this is exactly what we dream of for our puppies when they leave our home. Not just a house, but a family. Their people. Their safe place. And of course, we can still see so much of her parents in her 😊 In profile she reminds us so much of Archie, and when she looks straight at you — there is Lumi all over again ❤️ Thank you so much, Robin and family, for loving our girl so deeply and giving her such a beautiful life. Seeing updates like this means more to us than words can explain 🥰

My favorite grooming tools for our Great Pyrenees family ❤️• Chris Christensen Big G Slicker Brush — Perfect for everyday brushing and fluffing the coat. Gentle, but reaches deep into the thick Pyr coat without damaging it. • Safari Undercoat Rake — Our must-have during shedding season 🙂Helps remove loose undercoat and keeps the coat breathable and healthy. • Double-Sided Dematting Rake — Best for stubborn tangles behind the ears, tail, and “pants.” The tail is actually where this tool helps us the most 😊 We always use it carefully and slowly because Pyr tails are very sensitive 🤦‍♀️Little grooming tip from us: if a mat forms on the tail or pants, I carefully make a few small cuts along the length of the hair inside the mat. It makes brushing so much easier and helps avoid uncomfortable pulling for the Pyr 😊 • Metal Grooming Comb — The final step after brushing 😊 Perfect for checking hidden tangles and keeping that beautiful flowing Pyr coat neat and clean.🫶

Some people keep asking if mama ever gets a chance to rest 😁 Well… here is Lumi supervising her tiny white army from the royal observation deck 😂 One eye closed, one ear still monitoring the situation at all times. Meanwhile the little potatoes are scattered all over the patio living their best lives ❤️Being a Pyr mom means you learn how to relax and stay on duty at the exact same time 😊And honestly… she wouldn’t have it any other way 🥰

How does a Great Pyrenees feel about grooming?
Well… pretty much like this 😁
Lumi is fully enjoying her spa moment in complete zen mode while somewhere nearby her army of 12 puppies is having sweet dreams 🥰
And yes… right now you’re only seeing fur from a very small part of her body 🙈😂
Because Great Pyrenees shed all the time… twice a year… after having puppies… and honestly whenever they feel like it 🤣
So our backs and knees have been begging for mercy for quite a while now 😂
But if you get Pyrenees used to brushing from early puppyhood, they simply learn to trust you completely and truly enjoy the process ❤️
Although there are a few “forbidden zones” 😂 — paws and tails are usually brushed very reluctantly 🙈
And yes… they absolutely do need constant brushing 😁
They also happen to love showers too… again, if they’ve been introduced to them from a very young age 😊❤️
