We grow cherries, blueberries, peaches, plums, apricots, nectarines and apples on over 100 acres of picturesque farmland. Whether a tradition or a first-time visit, we look forward to seeing you at the farm and sharing our beautiful and peaceful slice of the Hudson Valley. PICK-YOUR-OWN APPLES HOURS:

This will be the last week of pick-your-own apples at Rose Hill Farm this season, except for our annual pick-your-own Granny Smith event on Saturday, October 31.

🍎 We will begin this week with SEVEN varieties of apples available for pick-your-own: WineCrisp, EverCrisp (MAIA1), Winesap, Arkansas Black, Keepsake, Royal Empire, and Empire.

🍏 Pre-picked in the farm stand: Northern Spy, King David, Ashmead’s Kernel, Grimes Golden, Golden Russet, Reinette Russet, Royal Court, Jonamac, McIntosh, and others.

★ We will conduct our likely final APPLE TASTING of the year this Saturday, October 17, at 10 am in the picnic area outside the farm stand. Please spread the word and come if you want to try some interesting, tasty, and lesser-known apple cultivars.

We will have NINE varieties of apples available for pick-your-own this week!

🍎 Pick-your-own varieties:
Mutsu aka Crispin, Fuji, Fortune, Keepsake, Ludacrisp, Roxbury Russet, Royal Empire, Royal Court, and Empire.

🍏 We will have all of the above varieties available pre-picked at the farm stand, as well as the following varieties available pre-picked only:
NY 428, King David, Ashmead’s Kernel, Idared, 20 Ounce, Grimes Golden, Reinette Russet, Solarina, Court Pendu Plat, Cortland, McIntosh, and others.

★ We will conduct APPLE TASTINGS this Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11, at 10 am each day in the picnic area outside the farm stand. Please spread the word and come if you want to try some interesting, tasty, and lesser-known apple cultivars. We’ve got 15 GEMS on deck!

Apple Highlight: Empire!

🍎 Empire is a cross of McIntosh and Golden Delicious, made in 1945. The seed was produced in Claverack, NY (about 20 minutes drive north of here), then propagated in Geneva, NY by Roger D. Way and introduced in 1966. Creamy white flesh with both a sweet and tart flavor. Juicy and crisp. Good for fresh eating, salads, baking, and sauces. If used in applesauce, the sauce turns pink!

We will have NINE varieties of apples available for pick-your-own this week! We’ll be adding Thursday from 3 to 7 pm as an extra day for farm stand/pick-your-own this week!

🍎 Pick-your-own varieties: Royal Empire, Jonagold, Cameo, Golden Delicious, Winter Banana, Shizuka, Royal Court, Empire, and Jonamac.

🍏 We will have all of these varieties available pre-picked at the farm stand, as well as the following varieties available pre-picked only: Ida Red, Spartan, 20 Ounce, Cortland, and a few others.

★ The pumpkin patch is back! We have carving pumpkins as well as the small pie pumpkins. We will also have pumpkins situated around the farm stand.

★ This Thursday, October 1, we’ll have live music by Laura Zarougian at the taproom from 6 to 8 pm. Join us for live music every Thursday night through the end of October!

★ Join us this Saturday, October 3, at 10 am for another INFORMAL FRUIT CLUB APPLE TASTING! Meet at the picnic area near our farm stand and come ready to learn about and taste some nice eating apples, c***r apples, and crab apples! THIS ONE IS GOING TO BE A BANGER!

Apple Highlight: Royal Court!

🍎 Royal Court is a limb sport of the original Cortland discovered in Nova Scotia by Jacob Hartenhof. A relatively large apple with dark red to purple skin and white flesh. Complex sweet, tart flavor. Very aromatic. Great for fresh eating and really holds its own in the kitchen. These trees were planted in 2016 and have a beautiful crop load this year. The Royal Court trees are found going up the secondary orchard road between the Center Hill Block and Pines Block, and can be found in both blocks.

★ This Thursday, September 17, we’ll have live music by Ben Clark at the taproom from 6 to 8 pm. Join us for live music every Thursday night through October! Admission is free.

★ Next Thursday, September 24, beginning at 5:30 pm, the Red Hook Public Library presents a nature walk in our orchards led by the library’s 2026 naturalist-in-residence, Randy German. Register for the walk through the library!

★ Next Saturday, September 26, from 12:30 to 3:30 pm, come sauna at the Big Towel wood-fired saunas, bob for apples, and taste some apples during Sweating Apples, an end of summer celebration with Big Towel.

🍎 We will have all five of these varieties pre-picked at the farm stand—plus the following varieties, available pre-picked in limited quantities: Holstein Cox, Gravenstein, Ginger Gold, Kerr, and Chestnut Crab.

🌻 There are also still plenty of sunflowers and zinnias for pick-your-own harvest.

★ Apple c***r donuts are back! Every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm through early November, Mighty Donuts and Coffee in Red Hook, NY will be set up in their regular location right by our farm stand.

★ This Thursday, September 10, we’ll have live music by DJ MK Ultra at the taproom from 6 to 8 pm.

★ Join ACE OF CUPS in the orchard for a brief tarot reading during apple season on fall Sundays from 2 to 5. Readings are on a first-come, first-served basis. Prices are on a sliding scale—look for a sign-up sheet near the willow tree! This first Sunday (September 13) will be on a by-donation basis, as ACE OF CUPS works out her process for these readings.

Beginning this Friday, September 4, we will have THREE varieties of apples available for pick-your-own: Fulford Gala, Jonamac, and Honeycrisp. We will have all three of these varieties available pre-picked at the farm stand.

🍎 We will also have the following varieties available pre-picked in limited quantities: Ginger Gold, Kerr, Chestnut Crab, Paula Red, and Chenango Strawberry.

★ We will have limited quantities of pre-picked Stanley plums and pre-picked yellow fleshed globe peaches at the farm stand.

🫐 Blueberry harvest is winding down, but we still have Elliott blueberries available for picking this week!

🍩 Apple c***r donuts are back! Beginning this Saturday, Mighty Donuts and Coffee in Red Hook, NY will be here making donuts every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm through early November.
