Yesterday, I did a little practice run with open bake with the sourdough. The cast iron Dutch ovens are getting a little harder for me to work with. I baked 2 loaves on a cookie sheet with a pan of water in the bottom. These are probably the lightest airiest loaves so far. However, they’re huge and didn’t retain shape. I love kitchen experiments.

I almost overlooked this pretty little clematis, I really need to finish cleaning the flower beds.
Tomorrow I will be baking some apple fritter bread, it’s been a little bit so I am looking forward to being back in the kitchen.
