Dry cows, dry pasture; hang in there, our dairy supply has been quite low lately, and we apologize for the inconvenience! We give our cows two months off from milking before they're due to have their calves. This allows them to put all their energy into growing the baby. Depending on how their due dates line up, we may have 2-4 cows dry at once. Pair this with drought conditions, and our milk supply has dwindled significantly. However! Our second summer calf was born this week and the pastures got a good soaking over the past couple days, so things are looking good for us to begin building our milk supply back up next week. Thanks for bearing with us!

We'll finally be back at the tomorrow from 9am-1pm with Maple soft serve and coffee floats. Cool off with local, grassfed frozen desserts. Our Maple soft serve is made with local maple sugar and contains no cane sugar. Try some!

We need bottles!! Our new shipment of glass milk bottles will arrive in about a month, but until then we are VERY tight on bottles. Even if you’ve only bought milk from us once, please dig through your cabinet and find that one bottle. If you have a giant stash, definitely return that too. We don’t want to have to start bottling milk in plastic jugs because we’re out of containers, or worse— dumping it! Return here to the farm, or to in River Falls and collect your $3 deposit. Many thanks!

Do you love to fix stuff? Things break on the farm just about every day. We are looking for a general repair person to come to the farm for a day, on a regular basis (once a week, once a month?) just to fix things. This position could be volunteer, traded for vegetables/dairy, or paid, depending on your needs. Or if you know someone who might be interested, please pass this along!
