Some new varieties I am trying this year are “Ananas Noire” (Black Pineapple) tomato, and “Black Strawberry” cherry tomato. The description from Bakers Creek for the Black Pineapple tomato says they are a 1.5lb fruit that is sweet and smoky, with a little citrus. They are a new variety created in Belgium. The Black Strawberry tomato weighs 2 oz, and is fruity with a hint of grape and plum. I’m excited to have these at the Guthrie Center Farmer’s Market this year, and can’t wait to try them!
