When the does (and Hell Grazer) hear the chainsaw crank up and the last tree falls, they come running.

Not a single drop of rain in the forecast. We haven’t hit extreme drought conditions but getting there quickly. It is still hot here and lots of dust!

Our intent has been to cut down more trees and clean up by burning them but that isn’t going well. So for now we will just cut them down and possibly clear them out next month.

We have some growth in the wastelands! This is our winter forage starting to sprout. We did a very mild disk on 3 paddocks then spread wheat, rye, and oats. We did this when the weather said we would get a day or two of light showers….in typical Arkansas weather fashion, it did not rain. In fact it hasn’t rained in over a month, maybe longer as any rain we may have gotten this summer has only been enough to knock the dust down for a couple hours. Needless to say, we are glad this stuff appears to want to grow. Hopefully we get a little bit of rain in the near future.
