Fair is wrapping up! My heart is so full and I am so proud of how our birds did this year! We had alot of big placements with homegrown birds and it’s the best feeling 💜
A black young cockbird we sold as a chick won huge in 4h for his boy winning champion and grand champion! I am so proud of how he did and extremely proud of his boy who learned so much about the breed and showed him so well 🥳
We won Best of breed, reserve champion bantam, and reserve champion of show with one of my special paint hens 💜 and also reserve champion of breed with a chocolate splash pullet! Even though I didn’t condition anyone and pulled birds straight from breeding and grow out pens they all represented the breed so beautifully! The judge had wonderful comments to say 🥰

As we are gearing up and getting ready to head out for fair I figured it would be the perfect time to announce we have decided to continue breeding! With the help of a dear friend who brought my spark back I have hopeful dreams for our future flocks! Thank you Amy Bachman you are such a blessing to have in my life 💜🥰 With that being said we have decided to scale back our pens to create a more intentional and focused breeding program. We have made the final decision to sell everything but our favorite birds here after fair. We have had so many devastating losses, there is just no way financially for us to rebuild our mottled or bbs pens… My heart is completely shattered and I’m emotionally drained 😭💔 RIP to one of the best roosters ever.. I love you so much Fuzzy Lumpkins… You were everything rest easy boy 😭
