Dingels Show Lambs was started with two wether lambs as a 4-H project and eventually grew into the 50 head Hampshire/Suffolk ewe flock it is today. We have been showing sheep since 2000 and raising show lambs since 2004 by leasing four bred ewes. After leasing bred ewes for two years, we purchased eight bred ewes from Brian Winters. These ewes genetically traced back to Brian Johnson breeding, whi
ch had the style, look, and power that we were searching for. Next we purchased a ram named “80” from Brian Winters. “80” was a double bred Johnson ram and is the father, grandfather, and great-grandfather of almost all of our champions and replacement ewe lambs. This fall we are using two new ram lambs, High Octane (Unleaded X Ceaser) and White Knight (Buckle Down (Guywire Grandson) X Skidgel). We are very optimistic about both of their futures in our flock and cannot wait for their progeny to hit the showring! High Octane is an outcross for our flock and is going to increase the style, shape, and s**g of our lambs. White Knight builds on the Johnson genetics to line up the genetics of our lambs. Over the years we have had many successful shows both with our own lambs and lambs that we have purchased from other breeders.
