OMG, is it just us or did the sun decide to turn up the heat? 😅 We're melting, but the real tea is... our girls just got decked out in some fancy new collars! 💁‍♀️ They're for virtual fencing, because who needs actual fences, right? 🤣 Just kidding, we still have perimeter fences. This should help save us time and energy putting up polybraids, and the girls can be moved much more frequently by just a touch of our phone. We're stoked to be working with Halter to teach our ladies to stay in their lane (literally). Fingers crossed it works, or we'll be chasing cows all day! 🤞

Hey everyone, can you guess what we have been up to? Well we have been working hard. Shocker right?😂 The past few weeks have been busy doing our daily cattle moves, pregnancy checking heifers (we always forget to take pictures during the action; my bad😅), and getting some tractor time hauling gravel for pads. What are these gravel pads for you may ask. Well they are for putting in future permanent waters in some of our rental pastures. This comes in quite handy with rotational grazing as some areas of the land don't have easy access to water. We are excited to get this project in motion! Stay tuned for more crazy Laukant Farms projects and adventures!

Hey, sorry not sorry for the radio silence... we've been crazy busy! 🙃 Here's the lowdown:
1) Open heifers have all received one round of AI breeding and are now exposed to our clean up bulls. Pregnancy checking coming soon.
2) We've got not one, but TWO newbies learning the ropes of rotational grazing. We have been training two interns this year on rotational grazing and its benefits. They are fast learners and have been a huge asset to the farm this season.
3) Our JCB tractor that has been out of commission for months is finally done! Only to have the side door break in less than 48 hrs later 😫.
4) And, drumroll please... we've got a brand new tractor! Can you guess the brand from the pic? 🤔
Sorry again for the lack of updates, but we promise to flood your feeds with farm fun as summer heats up! 😊
