If touching a child’s life forever is something that touches your heart then read on!
This year I am excited to champion a school wide Scholastic Free Books program for our school, Roachdale Elementary. I need your partnership to make it work.
This program will provide each child in our school from Kindergarten through fifth grade a free book each quarter, or nine weeks. At the end of the year each student will have receive four new books to keep for their own libraries at home. To accomplish this we are asking for sponsors who will pledge $12 per student. The donations will be sent to Scholastic in an account for schools account.

It is that time!! I have end of season garlic!! It will be good for a couple months still it is what I am not planting. I have Music available. It is a $1.00 a bulb or $10 a pound. This is all 50-60% off sale!! I can meet or you can pick up.

Good Morning friends and family!!! It is time for me to share the latest news at The Root Farm.
This farm has been a dream and passion of mine since 2012. Our first garlic was planted in 2013. I believe we have planted over 25+ varieties to see what the Indiana-Putnam County soil likes.
With the prices as they are, our plans to expand and build a barn/facility have been put on hold.
Also, this past year the weather tricked me, I planted a month later than usual do to the warm fall. That was my big mistake. I only harvested half my normal crop. This means IF I keep my seed garlic in production then I have no garlic to sell this year. I am going to keep seed with the hope that I will be able to plant in the fall.
I have yet another caveat to deal with though. Most know I had both my knees replaced two years ago. It is awesome!! Now, my lower back is going to need some major surgery. This means that I would have to hire help to farm and no money coming in to do it. So, The Root Farm will continue as my personal playground for at least this year. We will NOT be at any Markets this year.

Hello everyone!! I have seen you all checking in already for harvest and information.
I will be harvesting at the end of June. We have had a challenging growing season so our crop will not be as large in numbers or size this year.
I will keep you updated when we head to market!
