Introducing… TANGLED MIRAGE, a Thiolized Hazy IPA brewed in collaboration with our friends at Sapwood Cellars Brewery in Columbia, MD 🍻

This one is special! We paired a thiolized yeast strain, known for producing big tropical aromatics, with popular Riwaka hops from Freestyle Hops in New Zealand.

The result? A hazy IPA bursting with notes of Pink Grapefruit, Passionfruit + Citrus Zest, bringing together bold Southern Hemisphere hops and the tropical character of thiolized yeast.

The Collab + Story behind TANGLED MIRAGE:
The brewing industry is uniquely collaborative, where friendship and sharing knowledge often take precedence over competition.

For AJ, our Brewery Operations Manager, this collaboration is especially meaningful. When we asked him why this b**r and what makes this collaboration special he share this with us:

“This collaboration is important to me personally because Mike and Scott are incredibly knowledgeable, and by openly sharing that knowledge, they’ve helped me become a better brewer. Plus, they make amazing b**r.”

Long before AJ was brewing professionally, he was following the work of Mike Tonsmeire (themadfermentationist.com) and Scott Janish (scottjanish.com), the guys behind Sapwood Cellars! The co-founders of Sapwood Cellars are both published authors in the brewing industry and have written popular books including: The New IPA: Scientific Guide to Hop Aroma and Flavor by Scott Janish and American Sour Beers: Innovative Techniques for Mixed Fermentations by Michael Tonsmeire.

The creation of this b**r resulted in a pretty special full-circle moment for our brewing team to collaborate with the good folks at Sapwood Cellars!
