We're sad to let our customers know we are not growing or selling strawberries this season. With the high threat of the strawberry blight neopestalotiopsis this season we did not want to grow and sell berries that did not meet our trusted quality.

We thank you again for the many seasons you have visited Wise Acres Strawberries and we hope to return next season.

We thank you for another terrific strawberry season! We appreciate your business, sharing our posts and all the feedback we received.

We'll work for the next few months to rebuild the nutrients in the soil. Sometime late summer it will be time to lay plastic and then planting time!

Tomorrow, Saturday, June 1st is your last chance to come get some delicious berries. We'll be open from 9am-1pm, you pick for only $10/gallon. There is still an abundance of berries and the picking is easy! We look forward to seeing you!

If you're watching your waist line, strawberries add flavor to oatmeal and a cup of strawberries have more Vitamin C than an orange! But, we love strawberries and sugar on our morning cereal!

We hope you'll come out tomorrow and pick strawberries with us! We have "u-pick" from 9-1 for $12/gallon.

A few pointers for picking...
-Because of an abundance of rain recently, there is a little mud in the field. Don't wear your best shoes.
-Only pick red, firm berries. Leave the green, light red or green tipped berries behind to ripen.
-Don't pick over ripe or soft squishy berries. Like the old adage, one bad strawberry will ruin the whole bunch.
-Strawberries do not continue to ripen after picking (like bananas)
-Wash berries just before you eat them. Washing and then refrigerating will cause early rotting.
-Pick up our strawberry brochure with more tips and great recipes.

Our season is winding down 😞 BUT we will be open Wednesday, May 22nd from 9-1. It will be "you pick", no pre-picked available, $12/gallon. Come get those berries for your Memorial Day cook out!
