Porchetta roasts are now in stock!! Thanks to inspiration from and a willing butcher shop to try a new style of cutting pork. If you get the chance to purchase one of the cookbooks I highly recommend you do it. The Christmas cookbook has a couple different recipes for cooking one of these elegant roasts. Amazing how much these piglets have grown - they are 10 days old. They just got a bigger area because they had outgrown their previous digs. They are absolutely loving the wool bed. The sheep have to be shorn once a year and since it’s more utility grade we save it for the pig’s beds.

It most definitely feels like -5 😩. So much snow ❄️ fell overnight you can barely find the corral fences and forget about pasture fences it doesn’t look like there’s any at all. Luckily the pigs haven’t tried to walk over the fences they have just made path ways out of where they sleep and to the water pan. For all my friends whether you have livestock or not this has been a hard and expensive winter so much damage is happening from all this snow and ice. Hang tough hopefully the sun will find us soon.

Trying to get out the door and I think the dogs and I need snowshoes! Woke up to another foot of snow ❄️ and it’s still coming down 😫. Chores are going to take awhile today but on the bright side we have power and coffee ☕️ so we will make it through with just a little complaining 😜
