Oh, absolutely! I had one years ago that screamed and bit at me while kicking. A doe at a 4H Fair I was part of? We had to tie all four legs down and put an overturned bucket under her chest as she would collapse to the floor every time we touched a teat. Fun times...

New addition to The Horde. One month old Lotta. She's Skipperke/Jack Russell mainly. Large ish banana for scale. That's a whole lotta dog right there.

Well, Blue's remaining buckling isn't in the mix. He's with his momma who walked into the trees. All the goats are now out together in the bright sun and lovely cool weather! Time to work on the fence to make the area larger!

Not quite ready for prime time, but Starla Gina in the saddle & bridle I bought for her YEARS ago! Still at the Amish trainer for a few more weeks. He taught her to lay down to be mounted/dismount, jump and lots of trail riding and arena riding. I can't say enough good about Mahlon Miller as a trainer up here in mid-mitten Michigan.

Well crud. The starter ring gear on Bug the tractor has failed. No more tractor. *sigh* I'll make some phone calls tomorrow to see how much and when. *sigh* Everything just became more of a challenge... *sigh*

Getting there! Persimmons, deciduous holly, native plum, smooth sumac, aromatic sumac and several other species in these three long trenches. Then towards the road will be disked (if the 8N Ford's starter ring gear holds out) for tithonia, native plants and sweet annie. The rest of the field will be pasture (towards the house).

They don't act hungry. So they must have nursed. I'll milk her this afternoon. Her ligaments are still so loose, she could fall getting onto the stand. I did milk out a bit from her yesterday, standing flat on the ground, to help her and the kids a bit.
