Today I wanted to spotlight some dope artwork 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗶 | 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗰 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗿 created for us for this year’s agave selections.

In Aztec mythology, Mayahuel is the goddess of the maguey (agave) plant and fertility. She gave birth to 400 rabbits, known as the Centzon Totochtin: the “gods of drunkenness.” Together they represented the countless deities associated with drinking agave, as well as the many different personas one might take on while intoxicated.

Over time, the rabbits have become a symbol of celebration and community, and you’ll recognize many brands today pay homage to this legend on their bottles.

This year was action packed and full of some incredibly interesting and rare spirits. A little bummed to see the single barrel / selection slow down like it has, but that just means with more selectiveness on my end, whatever we bring to you will be extraordinary 💪
