Attention please!
Dorthy 🦆 has an announcement she’d like to make 📣

Starting this weekend, we will begin our off season, limited menu.
Breakfast sandwiches and Burritos only for the remainder of our time at the River City Farmers Market 🥲
Father winter seems to be knocking on our doors early, so our closing time might be sooner than we originally hoped.
Tomorrow morning will be the last of our hot peppers and tomatoes as well. I will be pulling plants as we pick!

Cakes, cookies, jams, candies, and others can still be ordered for the holiday season! And be on the look out for our holiday specials! (Yes I bought more cookie cutters 😅 yes I think it qualifies as an addiction now)

We’ll take it week by week and let you know when we’ll be back!

Remember a few weeks ago when I said we’d be taking a couple weeks off and then coming back this weekend…

Welll change of plans 😅
Our house has the “fair flu” and with Sam working down at the sternwheel festival…we will be taking an extra weekend off

How fast time goes and how much changes before you realize it…🥲

Picture 2 is 10 years ago, my final year showing as a youth exhibitor at the Washington County Fair. That was one of my hardest years. The hardest was my very first year at 8 years old show and selling my goats for the first time ever.
8 year old Destiny thought her heart had been ripped out when those goats loaded on the packer trailer. Thats how much these animals mean to these kids.
The last show was just as hard knowing that it was my last time.

The first picture is our banner hanging this year above the arena as show arena sponsors. We also sponsored the Overall Breeding Gilt award. We’re fortunate and proud to be able to sponsors these for the kids.

These kids work day and night to prepare these animals and projects. Their efforts do not go unnoticed

We’re proud of every child who walked the those arenas this weekend.

💚To the first year exhibitors, I know it’s hard. And no it will not get easier. You found your best friends in those animals. You loved them and cared for them. I want you to remember that you gave them all good lives and should be proud of your hard work.

To the exhibitors that showed their final show this weekend, keep these memories with you 🩷 the animals you’ve shown over the years, the lessons you’ve learned, and the friends you’ve made along the way will be the driving force and foundation behind you for the rest of you life.

The kids of this community are the true definition of what makes all of us Home Town Proud 💚🤍
