We are very excited to have the 4-year-old licensed stallion, Beacon Hills Royal here at Trinityglen Highland Ponies.

I have been admiring Royal since birth and feel very fortunate to have him here now. He is royally bred with his sire, Balmoral Archer, being imported from the late Queen Elizabeth's Highland pony stud farm and his dam, who was imported as well, comes from excellent bloodlines. .

Royal is a very kind boy with a sensible temperament. Our hopes are as Royal settles into life at Trintyglen, to be able to expose him to showing, exhibitions, eventual under saddle/driven work and breeding to select mares. We plan to breed him to Delaney of Trinityglen for a 2027 foal. Excited to see what this pairing will produce.

Next year he will be available to a limited amount of outside mares via AI cooled and frozen. Royal was tested at Iowa State University and he both cooled and froze very well.

Rhapsody 🥰💕. He is the epitome of all the hard work I have put into breeding these gorgeous ponies. Planned his breeding, saw him born and he has been my rock and equine partner from the beginning-trained under saddle and driving and he is game to try anything I ask of him. To say I love and adore this pony is an understatement. 💕💕❤️

The phenomenal young Highland pony stallion Macleod in the evening autumnal sun a couple of years ago- he just oozes presence and quality. This breed was developed in the highlands and islands of Scotland as a crofters pony and are also well known as a deer stalking pony (see my other posts). They are valued for their strength, kindness and easy keeping. Highland ponies are categorised as “At Risk” by 🐴🌄 ©Ruth Chamberlain known as Ruth on the Hoof. Welcome home you gorgeous boy!! Licensed stallion- 4 year old Beacon Hills Royal.

Royal is joining us at Trinityglen Highland Ponies to add diversity in our future foals. His sire comes from the late Queen of England’s Balmoral stud and his dam is Flora of Mendick.

We are very excited for the future of this beautiful boy.
