We checked the property of a fellow mycology student and found a lot of Tuber gibbosum (Spring White Truffle)! They also have an old Christmas tree farm that looks perfect to check out next season! If truffles are there, Georgie finds them! 😎

Opossums are opportunistic mycophagists, that is, they will eat fungi if the opportunity presents itself. 🐿️Animals help spread the spores of truffles, so we placed some Washington black truffle out and a couple trail cameras to record any movement around the truffles. Look who appeared 🐾😳 seems like this lucky opossum had quite the fine dining experience 😂 Well, opossums can travel up to 15 miles between multiple dens so when this opossum is ready to “discharge”💩the spores, it might not be on the truffiere, but that’s the way things go sometimes!

Check out this 4+ oz Washington black truffle! The largest one we’ve seen this season and smelled excellent! This truffle went home with two wonderful guests of a joint truffle hunt consultation. Their dog, Rocco the Lagotto, was super high energy and certainly kept Georgie occupied 😂 We all had fun and learned a lot along the way. If you would like to hang out with us and learn about our native truffles, reach out!

What a great day to go truffle hunting with a retired military veteran and three of his guests! We had an absolute pleasure to educate and entertain this warrior and make sure he leaves with both our native Oregon White and Washington Black truffles, plus some infused truffle goodies and oil! For all my fellow brothers and sisters in arms, thank you for all you do, always!

Georgie can’t imagine a better way to spend her day! We had an exciting Truffle Hunt Adventure with 8 wonderful guests! We started the event with truffle infused mochas! Then, we enjoyed an interactive truffle hunt and found Oregon whites, Washington blacks and a third truffle called the Black Geode Truffle (Genea Harknessii). All our guests got to hunt alongside Georgie and dig up a truffle. Afterwards we enjoyed truffle infused charcuterie board and salmon lox bagels. Finished off with a black truffle ice cream and goodie bags complete with truffle oil, infused nut mix and truffles of course! We plan to have more adventures soon! Interested? 😀
