I posted the other day about our neighbor giving us cookie dough for George. Just for fun, I decided to see what happened if I baked a pack of it.

Result? Accidentally created a cookie monster. 😂 Very glad George is a gentle giant, or I’d be short a hand.

Does George love cookie dough? Yes.

Does our neighbor know this and text me when she has cookie dough? Also yes.

Do I worry the sugar will give him super pig strength and he’ll bust out of his pen and go running through the field? Third yes. But the joy it gives him is worth the risk. 😂🐷

Our stand season has come to an abrupt end for the year. Our girls had already started their usual seasonal slowdown when a bobcat moved into the area, killing one of our hens and stressing the rest of the flock enough that they’ve stopped laying. Our priority now is keeping the girls safe.

Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by and supported our stand this year. We appreciate you so much and hope to see you again next season!

It may be 97° outside, but it’s always spooky season in my heart.

We've added a couple of ghost coozies to the farmstand today! The white one fits 12 oz slim cans, and the glow-in-the-dark one fits 12 oz standard cans.

And yes, the drink is included if you'd like it! Sorry if it’s warm. 😂

We still have 3 female bacon seeds available!

These girls were born July 3rd, so they are officially 7 weeks old today. They are Hampshire/Yorkshire with a little Duroc (1/8) and have been fast growers.

Both parents have good temperaments, and these three are sweet, shy, and just a little bit nibbly. 😂

We also have the option to raise them to butcher weight for you. This typically takes around 6–8 months, which would put them at butcher weight around mid-February to March.

P.S. Please excuse our setup! We have these little ones staying in our livestock trailer to keep them safe from a black bear that’s been hanging around the area.
