Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Valued Customers, after generations of proudly serving the greater Boston community, it is with both gratitude and appreciation that we announce Blanchard’s Wines & Spirits of Revere has sold to Kappy’s Liquors an excellent local operator.
This was not an easy decision. Our family’s story here goes back further than most of us can remember — to the day our grandfather, John Corey, took the helm and made Blanchard’s his life’s work in the early 1950’s. From his hands to our late father Donald, and on to our own, three generations of our family have had the privilege of welcoming you through our doors.
Over all these years, you became so much more than customers. Revere has trusted us to be part of your celebrations, your gatherings, your quiet evenings, and your milestones. You shared recommendations and stories across our counter, introduced us to your children and grandchildren, and kept coming back season after season. That loyalty is the heart of everything we built, and we will never take it for granted.
A neighborhood store does not last this long without a community that believes in it. You believed in us — through changing times, changing tastes, and a changing city — and for that we are endlessly grateful. Every bottle we recommended, every face we came to know by name, every “see you next time” was a gift.
As we close this chapter in Revere, please know that the memories we made with you will stay with our family always. Thank you for letting us be a small part of your lives for so long. We carry your kindness with us, and we wish you and your families nothing but the very best. The Blanchards’ Revere Employee Team will stay on with Kappy’s and continue to be there for you.
