June 2026 will go into the memory books for the farm. Our blessings have outweighed the challenges this month by leaps and bounds. We started out the month with “the great cow escape”. Twelve of our cows decided to run around the neighborhood on a four day jaunt. Fortunately, all of the cows came back or were captured on a neighboring farm safe and sound and did not cause any accidents. Our extremely special blessing was the outpouring of support from the community by helping to look, to calls to inform us where the cows were, to the special prayers from everyone involved. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all that helped. A special thanks goes out to Austin and Lila Fertick for their constant support through it all.
The month ended with Jim getting a thorn bush stuck in his eye while he was clearing fence that resulted in a corneal abrasion. There again our community rallied checking on Jim to see how he was and offering help. His eye is improving every day and will be fine.
Our blessings truly have outweighed the challenges this month. We are so thankful to our family, friends, and community for being nothing short of amazing with all of their support and love.
God is good! He always provides us with what we need!
