We raise registered Shorthorn and Normande Cattle, as well as crossbreds. Our 300 cow/calf operation provides us with replacement animals and the rest we turn into our feedlot to produce beef.

This steer got the gate off the hinges & decided to go for a swim, in the manure pump!🤦‍♀️
Thank the Lord we pulled him out with a halter & the skidsteer & he was seemingly unharmed!
But this is also why we don't leave the farm often!

It was a busy day today. 5 new calves tagged, feedlot fed, some rocks picked & some seed sown the old school way... by hand! It was the wettest part of the field & was not an option to plant with the drill.
Then when we thought it was time to head home: 5 heifers trotting thru the neighbors field required an es**rt back to the pasture. (Exactly 2.3 days from getting turned out🤦‍♀️)
It's never dull around here!
