Finally cleaned out the tomatoes from freezer. Managed to get 16 quart jars worth of spaghetti sauce canned up today.

Flags at Mountain Maple Farm have been lowered to half staff as of 2 pm today and will remain so until the close of the summer season in honor and memory of one of our mascots, and loyal guardians Honey. Internment was at 230 today on the grounds.

What do you do when you have 3 patches of mint? Why, you make sweet, refreshing meadow tea of course! It's one of the best ways to use mint from the garden.

I don't like sweating my butt off in the kitchen, especially when it's hot and humid. I do however love to can and I will do it even if the kitchen is reading 100+ degrees. It truly is one of my most favorite past times.
I've got 3 whole pints of sugar free strawberry jam which have all sealed, because I am a canning queen! The partially filled one will be going into the fridge to be consumed first.
